Jamshedpur, September 24, 2024: Tata Steel Sports Department organised a successful Inter Divisional Kabaddi Tournament (Men) on September 23-24, at the Armoury Ground. Chief guest Runa Rajeev Kumar, Head, Corporate Communication, Jharkhand graced the occasion with Renu Bhaduria and Punam Singh as Guest of Honour during the concluding ceremony today. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from total 144 participants from 12 units of Tata Steel. In a display of exceptional skill and sportsmanship, the team from Wire Division, Maharashtra emerged as the Winner, showcasing their prowess and determination, whereas West Bokaro Division bagged the Runner’s up position.
Team of Tata Steel Kalinganagar emerged as the 2nd Runner’s up in this tournament. Tata Steel’s commitment to promote sports and fostering a spirit of camaraderie among its workforce was evident throughout the tournament. The event provided an excellent platform for employees to showcase their Kabaddi skills and foster a healthy competition. Tilak Ram Sahu, Jaswant Kumar, Ramesh Kumar, Basanti Mahato, Nitu Kumari and Ajay Hembrom performed the role of technical officials.
