Jamshedpur : The city police have arrested two people in connection with the recent shooting in the Ulidih police station area. The accused have been identified as Sonu Sinha and Karamdev Sharma. The incident, which occurred along the Swarnarekha River in the Kendu Kocha area, involved the shooting of a youth named Birsa Khalkho. According to Superintendent of Police (City) Kumar Shivashish, the shooting was sparked by a dispute over a financial transaction during a gambling session between Birsa Khalkho and another individual named Manish. In a fit of anger, Sonu Sinha, a friend of the victim, pulled out a firearm and shot Khalkho.

The firearm, a country-made pistol, had been provided by Karamdev Sharma, who was also present during the altercation. Following the shooting, the police acted quickly and apprehended both Sonu Sinha and Karamdev Sharma. The police recovered the weapon used in the attack, one live round, and a spent cartridge from the scene. Both suspects have been remanded to judicial custody.
