Jamshedpur: On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, celebrated in honor of the birth anniversary of India’s renowned scholar and former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, CP Samiti Middle School and Rising Sun English School, Cable Basti, held a joint celebration in the school auditorium. The event began with the lighting of the lamp in front of Dr. Radhakrishnan’s portrait and paying floral tributes. In his address, Dinesh Kumar, the chairman of the school committee, emphasized the crucial role of teachers in shaping the future, stating, “A teacher is never ordinary; they nurture both creation and destruction in their lap. Teachers are the architects of the future, and they should understand the emotions of children, tailoring their teaching methods accordingly so that education doesn’t feel like a burden but becomes a pathway to improving their lives.”
The school’s General Secretary, Parmanand Kaushal, also addressed the gathering. A student, Roshni, highlighted the significance of Teacher’s Day and Dr. Radhakrishnan’s contributions. Teachers who play a key role in the development of students were honored with gifts and flowers by Dinesh Kumar, Parmanand Kaushal, Vice President Salik Devangan, Secretary Santosh Kumar, and Remon Kumar. The honored teachers included Amit Kumar Singh, Trilochan Kaur, Kaushik Dutta, Sangeeta Mary Suren, Seema, Archana Singh, Rekha Kumari, Anusuya Kumari, Heera Das Manikpuri, Tarkeshwari Devi, Annapurna Pradhan, and Richa Kumari from CP Samiti Middle School. From Rising Sun English School, Lubna Noor Khan, Nirmala Kaur, Rita Sharma, Kumkum Singh, Anjali Sharma, Diksha Kumari, Muskan Kumari, Kritika Singh, Sara Masih, Archana Singh, Manpreet Kaur, and Iram Parveen were also honored, along with B.Ed. trainee teachers from Women’s College. The students presented cultural performances and skits in honor of their teachers. The event was hosted by teachers Trilochan Kaur and Kritika Singh, with a welcome address by Lubna Noor Khan and a vote of thanks by Principal Amit Kumar Singh.
