Jamshedpur, September 28, 2024: In alignment with the Government of India’s “Swachh Bharat Mission” and as part of the “Swachhata Hi Seva 2024”, a campaign is being observed from September 17 to October2. Tata Steel Zoological Park (TSZP) organised a run within the Zoo premises today aimed to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and personal fitness. The event aimed to promote sanitation while encouraging the public to embrace a healthier lifestyle. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Naim Akhtar, Deputy Director, TSZP, and it saw a enthusiastic participation from the Zoo Staff, Security Personnel, and other associates. The Run, which began at 9:00 AM from the New Zoo Entry Gate, took the participants through various scenic points of the Zoo, culminating at the Old Leopard Enclosure. Senior officials including Dr. Manik Palit, Deputy Director and Dr. Naim Akhtar, Deputy Director also took part in the run to encourage and motivate others to join the mission for a cleaner environment. The winners of the run were also graced with a gift of token. In total, there were more than 40 people who took part in the event. The Zoo Management, committed to upholding the ideals of “Swachhata” arranged this event to not only underline the significance of sanitation but also to encourage physical fitness. The participants, all donned in their official uniforms, contributed to the success of this initiative, which seamlessly combined environmental responsibility with health consciousness. The event stands as a testament to TSZP’s ongoing dedication to promoting the importance of cleanliness among the public, in line with the national vision of a Swachh Bharat.
