Jamshedpur: Concerned about the deteriorated condition of Mango Old Purulia Road (stretch from Jesu Bhavan to Chepa Bridge), social worker and independent journalist Tanweer Ahsan met Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy at his residential office on Tuesday and submitted a detailed memorandum.

Repair work will start as soon as the rains stop – MLA Saryu Roy
During the meeting, Tanweer Ahsan highlighted the hardships being faced by local residents. He pointed out that potholes and broken asphalt have made commuting risky for children, the elderly, and even patients. The situation has worsened during the monsoon, severely affecting the daily movement of people.
Responding promptly, MLA Saryu Roy said, “This year the city has witnessed heavy rainfall, and carrying out road repairs or construction during the monsoon is not feasible. However, as soon as the rainy season ends, repair work on all damaged roads in the constituency will commence.”
He further added that the memorandum submitted by Tanweer Ahsan has already been forwarded to the Mango Municipal Corporation, so that departmental action can be taken without delay.
