Jamshedpur: With the efforts of Potka MLA Sanjeev Sardar, the famous Rankini Temple in Jadugoda and Mukteshwar Dham in Harina will soon undergo a major transformation. The Tourism Department of Jharkhand has approved ₹49.92 lakh for this project. This amount will be utilized to install street lights along the roads leading to these two sacred sites, ensuring they remain well-lit even at night, which is expected to attract more tourists.
During a press interaction in Jadugoda on Saturday, MLA Sanjeev Sardar shared that the Jharkhand government’s Tourism Department is working on special plans to develop renowned religious sites in the region. He mentioned that Rankini Temple and Mukteshwar Dham have been included in the state’s ‘C’ category tourism spots, under which an annual development budget of ₹1 crore will be allocated for these locations. Sardar further informed that the installation of street lights at these sites will commence soon after the foundation stone is laid. He emphasized that once the lights are in place, the temples will be illuminated at night, making them more appealing to tourists and convenient for locals. This initiative is expected to play a key role in boosting tourism in the area.
