Jamshedpur: In a major breakthrough, Jamshedpur police have solved the recent firing incident at a car showroom in Bistupur. With the help of the technical branch, police conducted raids in West Bengal and Bihar, leading to the arrest of two criminals – Alok Kumar Sharma from Baridih, Sidghoda, and Veer Singh from West Bengal. Both have been sent to jail, and police seized a country-made pistol, six bullets, a handgun, and mobile phones from their possession.
Addressing the media, SSP Kishore Kaushal revealed that the accused had fired shots at the showroom as part of an extortion plot. The criminals had been threatening prominent businessmen in the area, demanding hefty sums as protection money. The investigation was led by a specially formed SIT team under DSP Headquarters- 1 Bhola Prasad Singh, who coordinated the raids and subsequent arrests.
