Jamshedpur: As protests against the Waqf Board Amendment Bill spread across India, Jamshedpur-based organization People’s Forum has stepped up its opposition. On Saturday, the organization held a press conference, appealing to residents to voice their dissent during the upcoming *Julus-e-Mohammadi* on September 16.

The People’s Forum urged participants to bring posters, banners, and placards rejecting the Waqf Amendment Bill as a peaceful way to show the government their disapproval of the proposed changes. The organization emphasized that citizens oppose the government’s interference in Waqf properties and wish to maintain their autonomy. In addition to encouraging physical participation, the Forum has been promoting a QR code for people to register their protest digitally. A dedicated link has also been shared for further support, as opposition to the bill continues to grow across the country.
