Jamshedpur : Potka MLA Sanjib Sardar has stepped forward to fully fund the surgery of 12-year-old Bobby Karmakar, a resident of Gandhi Nagar, Bagbera. Bobby had suffered severe head injuries in a road accident a year ago. During initial treatment, doctors at Tata Main Hospital (TMH) had removed some of his skull bones and stored them in his abdomen for future reconstruction. Now, a year later, Bobby is set to undergo surgery to have those bones reimplanted in his head, with an estimated cost of ₹1.5 lakhs. Due to the family’s financial difficulties, former Zilla Parishad member Kishore Yadav brought the case to MLA Sardar’s attention, seeking help for Bobby’s treatment.
Moved by the situation, MLA Sardar assured that he would cover the entire cost of the surgery from his personal fund. To expedite the process, he immediately provided ₹50,000 for Bobby’s admission to TMH, where the operation is scheduled for September 30. MLA Sardar’s support has brought immense relief to the family, who had been struggling to gather the funds for the critical procedure.
