Potka: In a compassionate gesture, Potka’s popular MLA, Sanjib Sardar, intervened to help a grieving family in need. Sahdev Patbandha, a resident of Kamalpur village in Manpur Panchayat, was admitted to Tata Main Hospital (TMH), Jamshedpur, due to deteriorating health. Unfortunately, despite the treatment, he passed away. The total medical bill amounted to ₹2,90,000, but the family could only manage to pay ₹20,000, leaving an outstanding balance of ₹2,70,000. Due to their dire financial situation, the hospital refused to release the body until the full payment was made.
Upon being informed of the family’s plight, MLA Sanjib Sardar immediately took action and spoke with the TMH management. Thanks to his intervention, the remaining ₹2,70,000 was waived off, and the hospital released the body to the family. The grieving family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to MLA Sardar for his timely and generous assistance.
