Media Cup to Begin from February 17 at Keenan Stadium,
Organizing and Subcommittees Formed

Jamshedpur: The Press Club of Jamshedpur has announced that the Media Cup 2025 will be held from February 17 to February 28 at Keenan Stadium, Jamshedpur. Club President Manoj Kumar Singh and General Secretary Vinay Puri stated that extensive preparations are underway for the tournament. A total of eight teams from East Singhbhum, Seraikela, and Kharsawan districts will participate in the tournament. In a recent meeting with national, regional, and local editors, discussions were held regarding the event, and support was sought for its success. Editors and senior journalists not only shared their insights but also suggested incorporating intellectual programs alongside cricket matches.

The meeting was attended by several eminent journalists, including Dr. Sanjay Mishra (Editor, Prabhat Khabar), Ganesh Mehta (Editor, Hindustan), Kumar Bhavanand (Editor, Dainik Bhaskar), Jay Prakash Rai (Editor, Chamakta Aaina), Udit Agarwal (Editor, Udit Vani), Ratnesh Tiwari (Sharp Bharat), and many other senior journalists and former office-bearers of the Press Club of Jamshedpur. Regular practice sessions for the tournament are currently taking place at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur.

Committees and Subcommittees Formed

To ensure the smooth execution of the tournament, various committees have been established:

Organizing Committee: Led by Brijbhushan Singh Chhotku (Editor, Ispat Mail), along with several prominent editors and senior journalists.

Media Cup Management Committee: Headed by Jayesh Thakar (Chief) and Adityanath Jha (Deputy Chief).

Finance & Administration Committee: Overseen by Manoj Kumar Singh, Vinay Puri, Ajay Mahato, Aanjani Pandey, and others.

Purchase Committee: Led by Manoj Kumar Singh with key members responsible for logistics.

Ground & Kit Management Committee: Supervised by Deep Paul Choudhary and team.

Disciplinary Committee: Ensuring fair play under the leadership of Siddhinath Dubey and Arindam Sinha.

Food & Beverage Committee: Managed by Nanak Singh and team.

Guest Reception & Hospitality Committee: Led by Ajay Mahato and Aanjani Pandey.

Awards & Recognition Committee: Chaired by Jay Prakash Rai and Manoj Kumar Singh.

Media & Social Media Promotion Committee: Led by Adityanath Jha and his team for event coverage.

Stage & Event Coordination Committee: Headed by Jay Prakash Rai.

Security & Logistics Committee: Managed by Ratnesh Tiwari and team.

Emergency & Medical Committee: Ensuring safety under the guidance of Imtiaz Intu and medical professionals.


The tournament is set to be an exciting event, bringing together journalists from various media houses for a thrilling cricket competition.
