Over 60 trainees awarded certificates in baking, mehendi, makeup, stitching and beautician courses
Jamshedpur: Leading city-based institute Laiba Academy organised a certificate distribution ceremony at a café in Sonari, celebrating the achievements of its latest batch of trainees. Certificates were awarded to students who successfully completed professional courses in baking, mehendi, makeup, stitching and beautician training.
The programme was graced by former MLA and JMM Central Spokesperson Kunal Sarangi, who attended as the Chief Guest. The ceremony began with a cake-cutting event, after which he congratulated all the trainees for enhancing their skills. He said the objective of the programme was not only to distribute certificates but also to encourage women to confidently step into the professional world and become financially independent.

Academy Director Laiba Firdaus informed that she started the institute four years ago from Jugasalai, Gauri Shankar Road. Since its inception, the academy has trained more than 400 women, empowering them with practical skills. On this occasion, 60 students were awarded certificates.
She further added that the academy provides training in various categories, enabling women to become self-reliant and start their own work or businesses. Many of the trained women are now successfully working independently in their respective fields.
The event highlighted the growing importance of skill-based education in empowering women and promoting self-employment in the city.
