Jamshedpur is set to witness an extraordinary celebration of canine excellence as it hosts the 34th & 35th Federation Cynologique Internationale (FCI) Dog Show and the 77th & 78th Championship Dog Show from January 9th to 12th, 2025. Organized under the esteemed aegis of the FCI and The Kennel Club of India, the event will be held at the Archery Ground of the J.R.D. Tata Sports Complex. For the Jamshedpur Kennel Club (JKC), this marks a historic moment as it hosts the prestigious FCI event for only the second time since its establishment in 1977. Notably, JKC remains the sole kennel club in eastern India to have received this rare honor twice.
In addition to the FCI and Championship shows, the event will feature a variety of specialty shows, including competitions for Labradors, Beagles, Dobermanns, and Siberian Huskies, along with a thrilling obedience test. The four-day extravaganza promises to be a spectacular showcase of pedigree, sportsmanship, and canine talent, attracting world-class dogs, expert judges, and dog enthusiasts from across the country. This milestone event will not only highlight the city’s growing prominence in the canine sports community but also strengthen its position as a hub for excellence in dog breeding and sporting activities. Dog lovers and sports enthusiasts are encouraged to attend this unmissable celebration of man’s best friend.
