Jamshedpur: Dinesh Kumar, the former district president of BJP, has been acquitted of charges related to violating the model code of conduct during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The case pertained to a poster with the slogan “Phir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar” being placed on the boundary wall of Chandrabali Udyan in Kashidih, under the Sakchi police station area.
After a detailed hearing, the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Pooja Kumari Lal, delivered the final verdict on September 5. The complaint was originally filed by magistrate Satyendra Kumar, who was deputed during the election. Dinesh Kumar’s legal defense was led by advocates Vijay Shankar Pathak and Mahesh Kumar. Following a thorough review of the evidence and witness testimonies, the court found Dinesh Kumar not guilty and acquitted him of all charges. Several party members, including Narendra Kumar Singh, Ranjit Kumar Singh, Guru Pado Gorai, and Munna Khan, were also present during the court proceedings.
