Jamshedpur: If you are a young engineer from Jharkhand or Odisha, Tata Steel has an excellent opportunity for you. The company has opened new vacancies under its ‘Aspiring Engineers Program.’ The selected candidates will undergo a one-year training program, after which they can be appointed as Assistant Managers with an annual package of ₹7 lakh. To apply, candidates must hold domicile of Jharkhand or Odisha. The application process is open until 4th September 2024. There is a special provision for women to apply separately. During the one-year training, selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹30,000 per month, along with Mediclaim coverage worth ₹2.50 lakh for hospitalization and ₹6,000 per year for OPD expenses.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible candidates should have a degree in BE, B.Tech, or B.Sc Engineering in fields like Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Power Electronics, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Mineral, Mining, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechatronics. Additionally, those with an M.Tech or MSc in Geology, Geophysics, Remote Sensing, or Geoinformatics are also eligible to apply.
Diploma holders who have entered directly into the second year of engineering and are now in their final year can also apply. General category candidates must have a minimum of 6.5 CGPA or 65% marks, while Transgender, PwD, SC/ST candidates need a minimum of 6.0 CGPA or 60% marks.
Age Limit
The age limit is set at 30 years for general candidates and 32 years for Transgender, PwD, and SC/ST candidates. Upon completing the training, candidates who are appointed as Assistant Managers will receive an annual package of ₹7 lakh. Interested candidates can apply through Tata Steel’s official website by 4th September 2024. Permanent employees of Tata Steel are not eligible to apply.
