Former BJP district president Dinesh Kumar issued a strong statement on Saturday, accusing the Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy and former MP, Ajay Kumar, of creating fear among residents of Kalyan Nagar and Indira Nagar to gain electoral advantage. He alleged that the MLA Roy is resorting to scare tactics as elections approach.
Dinesh Kumar stated, “After facing a setback in the NGT court regarding the Indira Nagar and Kalyan Nagar settlements, the MLA of Jamshedpur East Saryu Roy is now spreading fear among the people of Birsanagar to serve his political interests.”
He further claimed that the BJP was aware that the notices to demolish the settlements were a ploy sponsored by the Jharkhand government and the ruling Congress-JMM alliance. Kumar alleged that the former MP Dr. Ajoy Kumar aimed to capitalize on this situation by instilling fear among the residents for electoral gain. He praised BJP MP Bidyut Baran Mahato for taking prompt action in the matter by meeting with the district commissioner and urging the government to intervene.
Dinesh Kumar also criticized the MLA, claiming that after the NGT dismissed the petition as it’s a state government and encroachment issue, he is now unnecessarily dragging Birsanagar into the matter to keep the public in a state of fear. He alleged that the MLA intends to displace the residents of Birsanagar and urged people to see through these deceitful tactics. He assured that BJP and local MP Bidyut Baran Mahato continue to stand firmly with the residents of Indira Nagar and Kalyan Nagar. Kumar stated that they will meet the district commissioner again to discuss the NGT’s decision and demand a fair and impartial investigation into the JPLE notices and the role of those spreading misinformation.
